Common questions
Can Stopby see where I go?
No. Arrival detection happens on your phone, inside its own operating system, and is never sent anywhere. Stopby keeps no location history.
Do I need an account?
No — there are no accounts at all. Everything stays on your phone.
Why does it need location "all the time"?
To notice you have arrived while the app is closed. Without it, reminders only fire while Stopby is open on screen.
Will my reminders show on my lock screen?
The arrival notification shows the place and the reminder. Stopby marks its notifications as private, so if your phone is set to hide sensitive notification content, the lock screen shows only "Stopby" until you unlock.

Reporting a security issue
If you believe you have found a vulnerability, please email stopby@spikewave.tech with the details rather than disclosing it publicly. We will acknowledge it and keep you updated on the fix.
